McPherson High School announces that the Residential Construction Management Team for 2010 has been selected and approved for competition by the National Association of Home Builders. 
The team members are Preston Mossman; project manager and scheduling, Joel Piper; estimator, Jacob Reese; research and development, Adam Porter; draftsman, and Max Archer; architectural designer. Mossman returns from the 2009 team that placed second in the nation at Las Vegas.
In 2008, the team placed fourth in the nation at Orlando. The team coaches are Arlan Penner and Don Willits.
The competition will be held Jan. 19-21 at the Las Vegas Hilton during the International Builders Show. The competition is managed by the National Association of Home Builders and the Home Builders Institute from Washington D.C. The local sponsor for the MHS team is McPherson Area Contractors Association. Many area businesses and individuals provided financial sponsorship for the 2009 team. Fund-raising for the 2010 team is under way.
The MHS team will assemble a full set of working drawings, schedule, and estimate to build a three-story home in St. Louis. The package has to be in the hands of the judges in Washington D.C. by Dec. 18. 
The team will present their finished project in front of the judges at the Las Vegas Hilton in January. Following the presentation, the judges will question the team over their solution to the project problems.
