COTTONWOOD FALLS -- Today, U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) endorsed Rob Wasinger's bid for U.S. Congress.
"Rob is running to restore economic common sense in Washington and bring growth and prosperity to Kansas," said Senator John McCain. "He embodies the spirit and values of Kansas, and will bring those values with him to Washington. He has always worked hard for Kansas and I know he will serve the citizens of Kansas well in Congress. Rob Wasinger has the right experience, vision, and values to lead Kansas into an era of economic growth and prosperity. He is an exemplary public servant we can trust."
Senator John McCain, the 2008 Republican nominee for U.S. President, has been a leading reformer in Congress for over two decades, working to eliminate wasteful spending and earmarks. McCain served our country in the Navy and was a prisoner of war in the Hanoi Hilton.
"I am humbled to be supported by Senator John McCain, an American hero who has served our country with honor and integrity both in uniform and in Congress," said Wasinger. "I look forward to serving with Senator McCain in Congress to fight for our shared principles and values."
Senator John McCain joins former Senator Fred Thompson in endorsing Wasinger. Wasinger is a native of Hays and has served Kansas as a former staffer to then-State Senate Majority Leader Jerry Moran, Governor Bill Graves, and most recently as chief-of-staff to U.S. Senator Sam Brownback.
