McPherson College inaugurated Michael Schneider as its 14th president with a ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 7, in Brown Auditorium.
Schneider is a 1996 graduate of McPherson College, who also earned an Masters of Business Administration from the University of Denver in 2003.
In his speech, Schneider stressed that while he was the one being inaugurated, this moment was about the college as a whole moving forward.
Schneider has already had a long career at the college. He began in 2002 as director of career services. He has also held the positions of vice president of advancement and vice president of admissions.
The three goals Schneider outlined for his time as president are recruting more students, increasing the amount of gifts and daily improvements in teaching and learning.
