The McPherson Police Department is looking for the owner of a Terrier-mix male dog with wiry hair found in the 300 block of S. Ash Feb. 26.
The dog is described as being approximately one-year-old, white with tan, black and gray spots. He is wearing a red cloth collar.
According to Captain Todd Martens, the dog was impounded after it bit an officer. The officer was treated and released from Memorial Hospital.
Anyone with information regarding the owner is asked to call the McPherson Police Department at (620) 245-1200 or the McPherson Animal Shelter at (620) 245-2583. The department is trying to find out if the animal is current on its vaccinations.
