Elyria Christian School winter homecoming will be Friday. The public is invited to come out and support the Eagles. The evening will include both junior high and high school varsity games. Schedule is as follows: 4:30 p.m. — junior high girls, 5:30 p.m. — varsity girls, 6:45 p.m. — junior high boys, homecoming ceremony, 8:15 p.m. — varsity boys.
The junior high teams and varsity girls will play Wichita Classical School, and varsity boys will play St. John’s Military Academy of Salina.
ECS faculty members elected homecoming candidates based on biblical character qualities, such as leadership, integrity and responsibility. Each candidate gave his or her testimony during chapel on Wednesday.
This year the candidates are Ellie Fields, daughter of Jeff and Heather Fields; Rachel Ropp, daughter of Lyndon and Shirley Ropp; Larissa Selzer, daughter of Steve and Debra Selzer; Daniel Cody, son of Ron Cody; Sam Edwards, son of Rich and Janet Edwards; and Aaron Potter, son of Jerry and Kim Potter.
