Andrew D. (Andy) Steffes, 51, died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at his home in McPhreson.

He was the owner and founder of Architectural Design Services Andrew D. Steffes Architect AIA in McPherson. 

Survivors include: his wife, Cheri M. (Dossett) Steffes of the home; step-son Frank Kuhn Jr. and wife, Kelly, of Topeka and David Kuhn and wife, Toni, of Boise, Idaho; father Don C. Steffes of McPherson; brothers Michael Steffes and wife, Roxanne, of Tuscon, Ariz., Stephen Steffes and wife, Gena, of McPherson, David Steffes and wife, Mary, of McPherson, and Terry Steffes and wife, Jenny, of Tampa, Fla.; sisters Nancy Rizzolo and husband, Ed, of San Antonio, Texas, and Jennifer Curry and husband, Jeff, of Boise, Idaho; four grandchildren and 20 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church Wednesday. A rosary service will follow the visitation at 7 p.m. at the church.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 4, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Fr. David Lies will officiate the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McPherson Opera House and can be sent in care of the Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, 222 W. Euclid St., McPherson, KS 67460.
