Cynthia Ann (Kail) Stockham, 67, of McPherson, passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2012. She was a retired day care provider and former manager of the jewelry department at Wal-Mart.
She was born Jan. 14, 1945, in McPherson, the daughter of Billy J. and Shirley J. (Norris) Kail. She attended the local McPherson schools and graduated from McPherson High School in the class of 1963. As a young lady, she was active in the Rainbow Girls and other community organizations. She was a former member of the First Christian Church.
On Sept. 16, 1963, she was united in marriage to Ronald Lee Stockham in Hutchinson. Born to this union were three children, Kevin, Kimberly and Kelly. Ron passed away on Oct. 5, 2002, following a brief illness.
Survivors include: three children, Kevin Stockham and wife Tammie, of McPherson, Kimberly Smith of McPherson, and Kelly Stockham and wife Carrie, of McPherson; a brother, Steve Kail and wife Jeanne, of McPherson; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Korina, Tashley, Kassidy, Stevie, Keaten and Kail; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Shirley Kail.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at McPherson Cemetery with the Rev. Lynn Scott officiating.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m..
