Stacey Lynne Cordell, 44, died Tuesday, August 17, 2010, while in the company of family members at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.
Through the years Stacey was a travel agent for Slotzy's Travel Agency in Fullerton, California; worked for the San Bernardino Parks Service at Silverwood Lake in San Bernardino, California; a homemaker; a corrections officer and reserve sheriff for McPherson County.
Surviving family members include her loving and devoted husband of over 20 years Scott D. Cordell, of McPherson; her children Kailey Cordell and Tyler Cordell both of McPherson; her parents Dennis and Nancy Layton of McPherson; her brother Greg Layton and his wife Loretta of Glendora, California; her parents-in-Law Dave and Hazel Schneider of Glendora, California; her sister-in-law Robin Myers and her husban Rex of Redlands, Calfornia; her nephews Russell Layton, Kyle Layton, Luke Layton, Shane Helflen;
Friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 19, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with family present from 6 to 7 p.m. at Glidden - Ediger Chapel, McPherson.
Funeral service will be held at Glidden - Ediger Chapel, McPherson, at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 20, with Pastor Jim Keil and Pastor H. Dick Reynolds officiating.
The final resting place will be at the McPherson Cemetery, McPherson Cemetery McPherson.
