Marion K. Frobenius obituary

Marion K. Frobenius, 86, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at McPherson Care Center in McPherson.
Marion served in the Army as a PFC in WW II. He served in the Central Burma and India Burma theaters; he received the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, W.W.II Victory Medal; Good Conduct Medal.
He was the owner and operator of Culligan Soft Water Service from 1953 to 1975. During high school, Marion worked for Tiemeir's General Store in Lincolnville, waiting on customers, stocking shelves and assisted with inventory. In 1949, he began working for Dillons until he operated Culligan; In January of 1979 he began working for the Kansas Department of Transportation until his retirement in 1998.  
Survivng members of the family include, Wife Dorothy L. Frobenius, of McPherson; sons DeWayne Frobenius of Branson West, Mo., Michael K. Frobenius of McPherson; daughter Marilyn (Steve) Perkins of McPherson; sisters Betty Ann (Eldon) Beneke of Salina, Lulu Swenson of Lindsborg; six grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Glidden-Ediger Chapel in McPherson.
The funeral service will be at Trinity Lutheran Chrurch, McPherson, Kansas, at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 3, with The Reverend Tim Leaf officiating.
Interment will follow at McPherson Cemetery McPherson with military honors presented by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2715 and American Legion Post No. 24.
Family request donations to Trinity Lutheran Church or McPherson County Food Bank.
