Donald Dean "Don" Kramer, 78, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at his home.
He served in the U.S. Navy as a 3rd class IC in the Korean War.
Through the years Don worked for Ivan Holt Oil Company of Russell, Groendyke Trucking and Kansas Transport before working for Farmland Industries as a Dispatcher all of McPherson. He retired after 15 years with the company. ollowing his retirement he worked as a truck driver for Unruh Fab in Sedgwick and later for Wear Technology of McPherson. Most recently he was a driver for Wallace Chevrolet.
Surviving family members include his loving and devoted wife of over 53 years, Dorothy Kramer of the home, McPherson; his children, Debra Pierce and her husband Mark of Newton and Ronald Kramer and his wife Jane of Salina; his son-in-law, Delbert Hunt and his wife Tarina, of McPherson; his brother, Frederick W. Kramer and his wife Mona of Gonzales, La.; and eight grandchildren.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Glidden - Ediger Funeral Home, McPherson.
Funeral service will be held at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, McPherson, KS, at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, with Reverend Dale Dumperth officiating.
The final resting place will be at the McPherson Cemetery McPherson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church or Hospice Care of Kansas and They can be sent in care of the Glidden - Ediger Funeral Home; 222 W. Euclid Street; McPherson, Kansas 67460.
