NEWTON-Wilbur A. Schmitt, 94, died Friday, May 29, 2009, at Asbury Park, Newton.
He was a carpenter.
Survivors include a son, Larry Schmitt, Newton and a daughter, Connie Unruh, North Newton; sisters, LaRue Taylor, Roseville, Calif., and Kathryn McCallister, Visalia, Calif.; "son", Lee Grochowsky Scottsdale, Ariz.; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral service is Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Salem United Methodist Church, Newton. Visitation will be today from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. with family present from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m at the Moundridge Funeral Home. Burial is in the Mound Township Cemetery, Moundridge.
Memorials are to Asbury Park, in care of the funeral home.
