ST.JOHN–The Inman High School golf team went to St. John on Tuesday and hit a team score of 481. No other team totals or standings from the Invitational was available.

According to Inman Head Coach Caleb Hendricks, one golfer stands out, noting, “While everyone continues to make strides, the one that stands out to me is Jordan Friesen. Coming into the season Jordan had never played golf in his life, but he picked it up pretty naturally and he’s really done a great job, he shot under 60 (59-59) on both 9’s in his first every Varsity meet.”

Four Teuton golfers played the course on Tuesday, with Max Harman having the top score with a 112, while Kolby Blank shot a 116 followed by Friesen with his 118 and Camden Stubbs scoring a 135.

Coach Hendricks concluded his reflections of the invitational by saying, “I was very proud of the way all four of the boys bounced back after a rough hole. Rather than getting down and letting it affect the rest of their round, they were all able to recover and get back on track whichever was great to see because it shows mental toughness. As far as the scores go, it was great to see improvement from last week and as a team we were able to knock 40 strokes off of our team total from our previous match.”
