WICHITA— The Bethany men's soccer team has been selected sixth in the KCAC preseason poll as selected by the conference coaches. Bethany finished the 2017 season with a 6-12-1 finish, with a KCAC record of 5-6, finishing the year in sixth place.

The Swedes will kick off this season with a pair of home scrimmages hosting Cloud County Community College and Coffeyville Community College before they make their way to Hastings, Neb. on August 25 to take on No. 11 Hastings College in their first official contest of 2018. Bethany will begin their KCAC campaign on Tuesday, August 18 hosting the first picked, no. 3 Oklahoma Wesleyan. 

Oklahoma Wesleyan collected 12 first place votes and total of 144 votes for the top spot over the McPherson College Bulldogs, who earned 114 points. Friends University was selected third with 106 points and the last first place vote, while Kansas Wesleyan University was selected to finish fourth with 77 points.
