ATCHISON—The Swedes football team suffered a tough loss today to no. 12 Benedictine. After four quarters of fight, Bethany came up short 75-7.

The Ravens kept their offense rolling throughout the contest scoring 28 points in the first quarter, 20 in the second and 13 in the third, before the Swedes were able to get on the board with seven of their own points in the fourth quarter. At the 14:36 mark in the fourth quarter, Ly'tavios Anderson, freshman running back, carried the ball in for a one yard touchdown before the extra point was kicked in by Fernando Avila-Castro, freshman kicker. However, the Ravens would then go on to score twice more in the fourth quarter.

 The Bethany offense was led by Jafar Thomas, senior receiver, who had 51 yards on four catches. Michael Milbourne, senior receiver, was just behind him with three catches for 29 yards.

Anderson led the ground assault for the Swedes with 36 yards on 10 carries with one touchdown.

Nicholas Pearce, junior linebacker, led the Bethany defense with nine tackles while Jaylord Dorris, freshman defensive back, added seven of his own tackles.
