FORT WAYNE—After 110 minutes of play, the outcome was still undecided for the Swedes women's soccer team and their foes from the University of Saint Francis. A goal apiece was all the teams could finish wish, ending their first regular season game each, in a 1-1 tie.
During the 18th minute, the Cougars were able to sneak a shot past the Bethany defense into the goal to take a 1-0 lead. However, the Swedes kept their attack going before the final minutes of regulation when one shot off of the foot of Mackenzie Callison, junior midfielder, finally found its way to the net. This goal was aided by Alyssa McBride, sophomore midfielder.
