HESSTON — The Hesston High School volleyball team bounced back from a tough weekend to sweep a home triangular Tuesday.

The Swathers topped Conway Springs 25-18, 25-19; and Moundridge 25-21, 14-25, 25-19.

Moundridge topped Conway Springs 25-19, 21-25, 25-13.

“This was a good night for us after an long weekend,” Hesston coach Jason Peters said. “Our passing was better overall, and we had more consistent attacks throughout the evening. Even in the set we lost to Moundridge, we had some good defensive plays and are making progress in being more aggressive and comfortable with each other. It was good to see us come back and play a strong third set at the end of the night. We continue to progress as a team, and it is exciting to see the potential that is there for this group to achieve.”

Hesston is 6-2 and plays Thursday at Minneapolis with Hutchinson Trinity.
