Young helped anchor the Swedes defensive unit over the weekend. Young played a large role in helping the Swedes earn two shutouts while only allowing a total of three shots on goal in two contests. On multiple occasions Young was asked to come up with huge defensive plays to help limit both opponents' quality chances. The junior's leadership and poise on the back line was crucial in earning two wins on the weekend for the Swedes.

"We are very proud of Kylie being recognized," Swedes head coach, Justin Olson said. "She has had a great start to the season and has been consistent for us defensively. It's great to see Kylie's hard work pay off."
