McPherson College has announced the signing of McPherson High’s Morgan Peterson to a cross country and track and field letter of intent for the 2010-2011 school year.
“I am very happy to add Morgan to our program,” McPherson College head coach Joe Eby said. “He is a very hard-working individual who wants to get better and has a passion for the sport. He will be a great overall addition.”
Peterson was a first-team All-AVCTL member in 2008, while earning the honor of a second-team All-Region the same year.
He is a two-time letterwinner in cross country and track under McPherson High School coach Chad Brake.
Peterson enters the 2010 track and field season with personal bests of 2:09 in the 800 meters, 4:52 in the 1,600 meters and 10:36 in the 3,200 meter run.
His best 5K time is 16:33.
