TOPEKA- Gary T. Gharst, 81, passed into the loving arms of his Savior April 26, 2022. He was born June 2, 1940 at Woodlawn, Kansas; the son of Elmer E. and Isabell F. (Blanc) Gharst. Gary attended first grade in Woodlawn, Kansas. In 1947 the family moved to their farm in the Lower Banner Community, 1 1 ⁄2 miles south of Holton, Kansas. He attended Lower Banner School from 2nd - 8th grades and then graduated from Holton High School in 1958. Gary states, “I am still learning every day.”

Gov. Laura Kelly promises to sign bill eliminating Kansas sales tax on food by 2025

DERBY, Kansas – The McPherson High School golf team built on their already solid start to the season on Monday, as the Bullpups took home second place at the Derby Invitational. McPherson has failed to place outside of the top three throughout the season, despite having to play through wind on most occasions.

Lady Viking Powerlifters Take 2nd at State Meet

STERLING – It may have been the Sterling Relays, but when the meet was held on Thursday, it was dominated by the track/field teams from Inman and Little River as the two teams finished with two first-place championships, a second and a third in the 12-team field.
