Edward “Dale” Anderson, 91, died peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Presbyterian Manor in Salina, Kansas. He was born in the New Gottland community of McPherson, Kansas to Ed and Pearl Anderson on January 28, 1931. Dale attended McPherson High School, graduating in 1949.

TOPEKA — In the waning hours of the veto session, the Kansas Legislature approved a rewrite of the state’s public health laws, disregarding bipartisan concerns the bill was too restrictive. After weeks of conversation and modifications to proposed legislation, Senate Bill 34 came together shortly before the House and Senate debated the bill.

INMAN – The Inman baseball team closed out the month of April by winning both ends of a doubleheader at home with Bennington on Friday, winning 13-12 and 24-15. In game one the Teutons scored twice in the first to lead 2-1 before Bennington put five runs on the board in the third and four in the fourth and while Inman matched it with three in each of the same innings, they still trailed 10-8 going into the sixth.

CANTON – On Friday, the Canton/Galva baseball and softball teams closed out the month of April by winning three of four games against county rival Moundridge with the baseball team getting a clean sweep (5-0, 12-1) while the softball team split their doubleheader (14-4, 2-14).
