Area Teams Run at Class 1A State Meet

WICHITA – On Friday and Saturday, three McPherson area schools – Little River, Canton/Galva, and Elyria Christian had athletes compete at the Class 1A state track/ field championships. With the best show of the weekend, the Little River girls scored 20 points and finished 12th as a team with Ashley Stephenson taking third in the 800 meters in a time that broke the Little River school record.

Lady Vikings Win State Again

WICHITA – For the second season in a row, the Smoky Valley girls track/ field team dominated the Class 3A state meet on Friday and Saturday, scoring four golds and team points in 10 of 11 events entered as they repeated as state champions in Wichita at Cessna Stadium.
