Doris Elaine Spradlin was born on February 10, 1930, in Hutchinson, KS, to George E. and Edith (Waldo) Spradlin. George and Edith lived in Hutchinson until 1935, when they moved their family to McPherson, KS. George and Edith also had a second daughter Donna.
MCPHERSON – The Kansas Department of Transportation is looking to do its part in reducing the number of fatalities that are reported on the roadways, which means the annual Put the Brakes on Fatalities Day (PBFD) is making its return along with several contests to boot.
McPherson County saw a marked increase in turnout for the primaries on August 2. McPherson County had 1,706 Democratic ballots, 6,782 Republican ballots and 1,416 Independant ballots counted. A lot was riding on these elections, as it was more than deciding a candidate for respective parties.
