Principal Appreciation Month Spotlight

The month of October is Principal Appreciation Month for the education system in Kansas. Throughout the month, the McPherson Sentinel will be giving a spotlight to principals and other leaders from different towns throughout McPherson County. It is also a way to introduce and welcome area principals that have been here for a short time.

Governor Updates Declaration of Drought Emergency, Warnings and Watches for Kansas Counties

Governor Laura Kelly has approved updated drought declarations for Kansas counties with Executive Order #22-08. This drought declaration continues to keep all 105 Kansas counties either in watch, warning or emergency status. McPherson County remains in a state of drought emergency according to the report.
