Each year McPherson College recognizes the accomplishments of young alumni during the Honors Convocation at Homecoming. This year, three alumni —Billy Jamison ’88, Bruce Lolling ’95, and Andrea Herrera ’00 — received Young Alumni Awards on October 13 in a ceremony at Brown Auditorium.

LINDSBORG, Kansas – At first glance, a Swede and a farm animal would appear to not have much in common. However, Bethany College’s Dr. Joyce Pigge was honored on Friday, September 23 when the college celebrated the volleyball team’s 50th anniversary and the opening of the new women’s locker rooms that were named in her honor.
Hospitality among the arts is a huge driving force for Irene Nielsen, owner of Casual Corner Tea Room inside the Main Street Galleria in Lindsborg. Nielsen has enjoyed teas since 1995.
Ralph H. Herrold, 82, passed away on October 9, 2022, in Leawood, KS. He was born in McPherson, KS to JB and Erma Herrold and is preceded in death by his wife Jackie. He is survived by children Jack and Deidra, daughter in law Michelle and grandchildren Nick, Eleanor and Claire. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 on October 24 at the McPherson KS Church of Christ.
James “Jim” G. Hulsey, 77, of Howard, KS, passed away October 11, 2022, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence, KS.
