LINDSBORG, Kansas – The first of two regular season matchups between Smoky Valley and Halstead took place on the Vikings’ home court Friday night, as the Viking girls fell short of a comeback and the Viking boys earned their first win of the season against the Dragons.
The McPherson High School Entrepreneurship class had their 2022 Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (YEC) at the McPherson Community Building on Dec. 14. The event was sponsored by the McPherson Chamber of Commerce and the winner from the event will compete in a Statewide challenge in Manhattan on April 20, 2023.
SEDGWICK – On Tuesday the Elyria Christian girls and boys traveled to Sedgwick and brought home a win for the Lady Eagles, 34-21, while the Eagle boys lost late, 30-24. Both the Lady Eagles and Eagle boys are now 3-2 for the season as they were prepping to host Solomon on Saturday before traveling to Rural Vista next Tuesday to close out their pre-Christmas schedule.

INMAN – On Tuesday, Inman boys and girls basketball hosted Kingman and promptly sent the visitors home with a pair of losses as they made it a clean sweep with the Teuton boys winning 63-41 and the Lady Teutons earning a ninepoint, 62-53 victory.
The second of four signing days took place at McPherson High School on Wednesday, December 14 where girls basketball player Jordan Sears and boys soccer player Tito Mendez committed to further their athletic and academic careers at the next level.
