MCPHERSON – The 2023 and 50th annual Kansas Shrine Bowl may be taking place in Hays, Kansas on Saturday, July 15, but the storied game will have a little bit of McPherson roaming the sidelines as McPherson High School head football coach Jace Pavlovich will serve as an assistant coach for Team West during the game.

TOPEKA – On Dec. 28, Governor Laura Kelly signed Executive Order #22-10, which bans the use of the social media platform TikTok on all stateowned devices for Kansas executive branch agencies, boards, and commissions and their respective employees, and prohibits access on the state network. Smoky Valley Arts & Folklife Center (SVAFC), 114½ S. Main, Lindsborg, will open the first show of 2023 featuring paintings not previously exhibited by Lindsborg artist Mike Hartung. The exhibition, “Third Time’s a Charm…for a repeat offender,” opens Dec. 30, 2022, and continues through Jan. 29, 2023.
