AUGUSTA, Kansas – A typical cool and windy evening for Kansas high school softball turned wet and sloppy, as McPherson outlasted Augusta in rainy conditions to come away with a doubleheader sweep and stay undefeated in league play.
Busy week for the six-area high school sport athletes with nine baseball, ten softball, one boys tennis and eight track/ field events. Among the highlights were county rivalry games like the unbeatens, Inman and Little River, on the baseball diamond, Inman softball sweeping Little River and county rivals Moundridge and Canton/Galva splitting doubleheaders for both softball and baseball.
