Moundridge Library holds Star Wars events
The Moundridge Library is celebrating May 5th, not by celebrating Cinco de Mayo, but by inviting Storm Troopers. On May 5th from 6-8 p.m, everyone, no matter their age, is invited to come in for pictures with Storm Troopers, Star Wars challenges, games, coloring, and tons of Star Wars fun.
Gifts to the community foundation are worth more in April
(SVCF) could earn additional dollars for charitable grants in the community through an area-wide Match Month gift matching campaign. In April, donations to the Smoky Valley Community Enhancement Fund will be matched by 200%, up to $4,000, by the Smoky Valley Community Foundation and a Patterson Family Foundation grant.

LaVena Kidd’s Button Design 2012:
During the All Schools Day meeting on April 24, Lucky Kidd made an announcement that his mother, LaVena Kidd passed away on Sunday, April 23. Kidd also shared that his mother won the design contest in 2012, which was the 99th year of McPherson County All Schools Day.
McPherson businesses form group
Local merchants have formed McPherson Business Masterminds after seeing success with similar groups in places like Salina or Wichita. The Business Masterminds’ goal is to support each other during this time of inflation and recession.
