Reagan Brake of McPherson, KS, has been named to the 2023 spring semester Dean’s List at Ohio Wesleyan University. To earn Dean’s List recognition, Ohio Wesleyan students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in all applicable classes.

Newman University has released its 2023 Spring Dean’s List. A total of 397 undergraduate students achieved the qualifications required, completing at least 12 credit hours and achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
The McPherson County Council on Aging (MCCA) announced that the Kansas Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program vouchers will be available after June1. The vouchers are available for county residents aged 60 and older or 55 for registered tribal members.
Nathaniel “Than” Lee Fishback, 71, passed away on May 23, 2023 at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS, after a five year battle with cancer, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 11, 1951 in Skidmore, MO, the son of Lyle L.
Michael Lavon Heitkotter, 37, of McPherson, KS, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He worked at Mid-Kansas Coop for six years. Michael was born on December 13, 1985, in McPherson, KS, the son of Brinda Lynn Hall and Elvin Lavon “Skeeter” Heitkotter.
DaVon Glen Knackstedt Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on May 20, 2023, surrounded by family. He was born in Wichita, Kansas to parents Delmer and Glennys (Joan) Knackstedt (deceased) of Windom, Kansas on April 18, 1952.
