The McPherson Arts Alliance is hosting two sessions for Kids’ Art Camp at the Mary Anderson Art Center in the McPherson Opera House. The first session is for children in first through third grade June 12-16.

On May 16th, shortly before 4 a.m. night shift dispatch supervisor, Jolana Carr, answered a call in which a man simply said, “We’re having a baby.” The parents were trying to get to Salina, but the baby had other ideas.
After responding to an Amber Alert in 2008 that turned into a search and rescue for a baby, McPherson Fire Chief TJ Wyssman was determined to make sure parents had options. The baby from that call was found by a Police Officer in a polycart in McPherson.

Jacqueline E. “Jackie” Goldstein, 75, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at her home in McPherson. Formerly of Dunedin, FL, Jackie has lived in McPherson from 1965 to 1987 and from 2014 to present.
