For a second time in as many weeks, the McPherson summer baseball program hoisted a championship trophy as this time it was the 18U Bullpups that delivered an undefeated run through the annual Hooper Showcase this past weekend to win first place.Just over two weeks ago, the 16U Bullpups pulled down McPherson’s first tournament title of the summer by winning the Kaiden Schroeder Tournament championship to honor one of McPherson’s most beloved figures.Fast forward two weeks, McPherson delivered its second title of the summer by sweeping its way through the Hooper Classic to take down Williwaw Baseball in the championship game 11-1 and stretch their winning streak to five games.The two titles by the 16U and 18U Pups mirror each other in more ways than one.
