HILLSBORO, Kansas – The 10U McPherson summer baseball team add another chapter to its historic season this past weekend, as the Bullpups officially ended their season with another championship by taking home first place at the Cal Ripken State Tournament in Hillsboro.The summer season of the 10U Bullpups initially came to a close three weeks ago when McPherson went 6-0 in the Hap Dumont State Tournament in Wichita to finish the season with a 34-3 record.

The success that has been synonymous with the McPherson High School soccer program can be encapsulated in its summer workouts, as both the boys and girls teams finished a five-day camp in order to prep for their respective seasons.Bullpup Boys:The McPherson boys entered last week’s camp, which began on Monday, July 15 and through Friday, July 19, with just over a month until their 2024 regular season began.

For an eighth straight year and 10th overall, the McPherson College volleyball team earned the 2024 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Honor Roll award.For the McPherson College volleyball team, success has come in other ways outside of the volleyball court.

GODDARD, Kansas – The summer baseball season has officially come to a close for McPherson High School, as the 16U Bullpups capped off a 19-7 season by going 3-1 in their final tournament of the summer in Goddard.A strong summer season by the Bullpups’ underclassmen have been highlighted by a pair of tournament titles in the Kaiden Schroeder Tournament on June 8 (a 14-0 win over the Upper Deck Blue Jays) and the Salina Grand Slam tournament on June 30 (a 7-5 win over the Hays Hammer).After going 2-2 in their penultimate tournament of the summer at the Emporia State Showcase, McPherson solidified its elite nature by going 3-1 in its final tournament of the year.McPherson entered the tournament on a two-game losing streak, which matched its longest losing streak of the entire summer.
