WINFIELD, Kansas – Three tournaments in to year number three of the McPherson High School girls program has seen the Lady Pups deliver three top-five finishes and set a school record, as a fifth-place finish at Hesston, third-place finish at Salina and a first-place finish at Winfield has McPherson looking like a contender in class 4A.McPherson, who returned half of its varsity lineup from last season, began its season on Thursday, August 29 by finishing in fifth place at the class 4A State Preview tournament at Hesston Golf Course amongst a handful of the premier teams in the state.
The Inman Community Foundation announced the receipt of a generous grant from the Patterson Family Foundation, providing up to $70,000 in matching funds for the upcoming Match Week.
