Bullpups continue growth despite loss to Saints

No rest for the weary has been taken to heart by the McPherson High School boys soccer team after a 2-0 loss to Wichita Classical Monday night marked a fifth game in less than two weeks, but the growth of the young Bullpup roster has already been evident.McPherson began its season on Thursday, September 5 with a trip to Circle, which they won 7-0 thanks to five different Bullpups scoring, including two goals each from Manny Morales and Borin Heang.

Area roundup: County schools find success in week two

The 2024 fall sports season is finding much more success than not for the greater McPherson County area as three schools remain unbeaten after two weeks in football, one school’s volleyball team went 7-0 for the week and three others scored five wins.In football, Moundridge continues to win after returning to 11-man football this fall and is now 2-0 and ranked number eight in Class 1A with Iman earning honorable mention at 2-0.

Rosie’s on Main gets new life

Julie Johnson saw a need for gently used children’s clothing in McPherson and transformed Rosie’s on Main Event Venue into Central Kansas Kid’s Consignment to fill that need.“The closest place to shop for consignment kids’ clothes is Kid to Kid in Wichita,” said Johnson.
