Lady Pup volleyball aims to follow up runner-up finish

Reloading and not rebuilding will be the theme for the 2024 McPherson High School volleyball team as the Lady Pups are looking to make a return trip to class 4A’s biggest stage following a state runner-up finish last season.After a first-round exit in sub-state a season ago with a young team, McPherson turned that youth into experience by marching its way into state.

Departments hold court ribbon cutting

The City of McPherson and McPherson Recreation Commission (MRC) held a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for the McPherson Pickleball Courts located at Elm and Elizabeth Streets on Tuesday morning.Wayne Burns, Public Lands and Facilities Director opened the ceremony by commending the City of McPherson and MRC for working together to create a vibrant space for the city.
