The McPherson County Community Foundation (MCCF) teamed up with Canton-Galva Elementary School fifth grade students to create blankets for the Cat House McPherson.This initiative is part of MCCF’s community engagement program known as Voices in Philanthropy (V.I.P.).

Bulldog women sputter late in loss to Ottawa

Last Saturday’s evening matchup between the McPherson College women’s basketball team and Ottawa University saw the Bulldogs trying to capture their first win of the season, but 10 made three-pointers by the Braves proved to be the difference in a 82-66 loss for McPherson.Entering Saturday’s matchup, McPherson was 0-7 and fresh off a 97-64 loss to Kansas Wesleyan three days prior.

Bullpup dance team takes fourth at state

TOPEKA, Kansas – With fall sports all but over for McPherson High School athletics, one Bullpup team remained standing as the McPherson dance team took fourth place out of six finalists at the Game Day Spirit Showcase.On Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23, Topeka’s Stormont Vail Events Center played host to the Game Day Spirit Showcase dance and cheer competitions for all classes.
