The tragic story of four-month-old Elijah Hugh Wedel has left his family in mourning and seeking justice. Elijah’s short life was filled with love and joy but was cut short due to circumstances that have left his family devastated and his babysitter in jail.

Becky Goss, President and CEO of the McPherson County Community Foundation (MCCF) has announced her retirement. She will leave her position at the end of 2025. Goss has been with the foundation since its inception in January 2001, serving as its original leader and guiding it from its earliest days with zero assets—only a vision for McPherson County’s future.
