A lot has changed throughout the world between the years 2021 and 2025, but one constant within that timeframe can be found in McPherson, Kansas where the Bullpup boys basketball team clinched a fifth straight trip to the class 4A state tournament with a 65-48 win over Concordia in Friday night’s sub-state final. MOUNDRIDGE, Kansas – One location played home to two more McPherson County state qualifiers Saturday night, as the Inman and Moundridge girls basketball teams won their respective sub-state championship games to qualify for next week’s class 2A state tournament. Last season, Inman and Moundridge’s seasons were ended by the same team – the Hillsboro Trojans.

MOUNDRIDGE, Kansas – An undefeated season has made its way to the class 2A state basketball tournament, as the Moundridge boys will be on the hunt for a three-peat following a 42-30 victory over Berean Academy in Friday’s sub-state championship game.
WELLINGTON, Kansas – A rollercoaster season has finally come to rest for the McPherson High School girls basketball team, as the Lady Pups fell 66-34 to No. 1 seed Wellington in Saturday’s sub-state championship game to finish the season with a 10-12 record.

CANTON, Kansas – While the Little River girls did as expected and gained a ticket to the Class 1A Division I State basketball tournament in Dodge City, the Little River boys pulled the unexpected and gained three wins in a row to win their sub-state as well, joining the girls in a trip to Dodge City. Being the top seed in sub-state, the Lady Redskins scored a semi-final, 77-12, win over Burden/Central on Saturday, March 1, before punching their ticket to the state tournament on Friday March 7 with a 14-point, 71-57, victory over Madison.
