Schopper addresses commission

At Tuesday’s City Commission meeting, Head Debate and Forensics Coach Aaron Schopper announced that McPherson High School’s Speech and Debate team had secured its seventh consecutive state championship. The team not only outperformed their opponent by approximately 60 points but also set a new state record with 45 state event qualifications and 91 individual state qualifiers.

Lady Pups recharge with annual soccer clinic

Postseason soccer approaches as the McPherson High School girls soccer team is attempting to find its stride, but a much-needed recharge before the final stretch of the season took place last Wednesday after the Lady Pups hosted their annual Practice with the Lady Pups girls soccer clinic. Less than 24 hours before the girls soccer clinic took place, McPherson took its home field against Winfield.
