Over the summer, folks across the Lindsborg community have been gathering at Messiah Lutheran Church to read Amanda Tyler’s “How to End Christian Nationalism.” This teaching and preaching series has invited us, in various ways, to wrestle with what belongs to God and what belongs to empire. HESSTON, Kansas — The Hesston College women’s soccer team had the honor of posting the Larks’ first win as a four-year school, stopping new rival McPherson College 2-1 Saturday night at Sieber Field.
The soccer season is underway at Central Christian College and with it came a pair of home games this past Saturday, as the Tiger women fell 2-1 and the Tiger men drew 1-1 with Sterling College.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Fall sports are up and running at McPherson College and the Bulldogs’ volleyball team got its season off on the right foot, as McPherson came away with a 3-1 record at the Sioux City Tournament in Iowa this past weekend.
OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma – The McPherson College men’s soccer team competed in its second regular season contest of the season on Saturday, but the Bulldogs fell one goal shy of possibly earning their first win of the season in a 2-1 loss to Mid-America Christian University. Saturday’s contest was McPherson’s second regular season outing of the season, with the first coming on Thursday, August 21 in a 3-0 loss at Baker University.
One week into the college football season and I’m already getting burned on my predictions, but I’ll gladly take the loss as it meant KU left its season-opener with a dominant win over Fresno State.
