Bullpup XC earns four medals at Buhler Invite

BUHLER, Kansas – The shortest recovery week of the season resulted in the most medals for the McPherson High School cross country teams last Friday, as four different Bullpups walked away with hardware around their neck at their most recent meet in Buhler. McPherson and cross country medals have been synonymous so far this season after the Bullpups have claimed at least one medal in each of its first three meets.

Southwest Kansas school board president's unoccupied vehicle struck by 10 gunshots

TOPEKA — Comanche County law enforcement officials Monday asked for the public’s help investigating an incident in which 10 bullets were fired into the unoccupied, parked vehicle of the local school board president. President Kelly Herd, and other members of the school board in southwest Kansas, have been embroiled in controversy that led to the suspension of superintendent Ty Theurer pending an inquiry into allegations he sexually harassed and inappropriately touched a student.

Social Security Commissioner visits Kansas Field Office to discuss customer service improvements

Wichita, KS – Social Security Administration (SSA) Commissioner Frank J. Bisignano today visited the Social Security field office in Wichita, Kansas with Representative Ron Estes, Chair of the House Ways and Means Social Security Subcommittee, to discuss how SSA is deploying technology and streamlining processes to improve the customer experience.
