William Moore, McPherson EMS Director, was arrested on July 2 on charges of Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and child endangerment.
On November 14, Moore was sentenced to a term of twelve months in the McPherson County Jail for DUI. According to court documents, Moore is required to serve forty-eight hours in the McPherson County Jail followed by twenty-eight days in the house arrest program. Moore surrendered himself to the jail on December 6.
Documents further state Moore has been placed on one year of probation with Court Services. A special condition of the probation requires the defendant to follow all recommendations of the drug/alcohol evaluation from the Central Kansas Foundation, until successfully discharged by a therapist. Additionally, he must attend the next available DUI Victim Impact Panel and cover all associated costs.
