The Sentinel has received several calls the last two days about a “big drug bust” at McPherson High School last Tuesday. Let’s see if we can clarify the facts.
Several canine units from various agencies participated in a training exercise Tuesday afternoon. The agencies’ K-9 officers belong to the Heart of America Police Dog Association.
Units responding to McPherson did so as a result of a periodic request from staff at McPherson High School and members respond  to conduct training and maintain certification standards. According to McPherson Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Collins, exercises were conducted on the McPherson High School parking lot, the McPherson Community Building and Grant field.
There was No Big Drug Raid.
