McPherson police
Officers responded to an out-of-control patient who left the Memorial Hospital emergency room at 6:57 p.m. Friday. The officers located and escorted the patient back to the hospital.

Officers responded to the 400 block of N. Maple at 6:04 a.m. Saturday and took a report of a burglary and theft that occurred sometime between 6 p.m. May 20 and today. A laptop valued at $800 was taken.

Officers responded at 10:05 p.m. Saturday to a complaint of a vehicle unable to stay in its lane on U.S. Highway 56 westbound from 17th Avenue. The officers contacted the driver when the vehicle pulled into a parking lot in the 800 block of E. Kansas. Everything appeared to be OK.

A deputy took a report at 7:20 a.m. Friday of burglary and theft that occurred south of Comanche Road on Fourth Avenue. Several items valued at $1,500 were taken from outbuildings at this location.

At 3:59 p.m. Saturday, a deputy responded to a driving complaint northbound on 14th Avenue from Overland Road. The vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed, with a subject laying on top of it and then standing up on it. The deputy contacted the vehicle in the 1900 block of Cougar Trail and warned the driver of reckless driving.

Kansas Highway Patrol
A trooper, McPherson EMS personnel, Galva firefighters and a sheriff’s deputy responded to an injury rollover accident at 22nd Avenue and U.S. Highway 56 at 1:24 a.m. Saturday. A vehicle driven by 20-year-old Alonzo Dario Stewart, Hutchinson, was westbound when it drifted off the north shoulder. The driver overcorrected and the vehicle rolled over in the ditch. Stewart was transported to Memorial Hospital.

CANTON - Firefighters from Canton and Galva responded at 4:40 p.m. Saturday to a small grass fire in the north ditch between 24th and 29th avenues along U.S. Highway 56.
