McPherson police
An officer responded at 11:16 a.m. Thursday to a non-injury accident between a vehicle driven by Leland Applequist of Falun and Mariah Thompson of Newton that occurred at First and Maxwell. Applequist was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

An officer responded at 7:36 p.m. Thursday to a non-injury accident in the 1300 block of N. Main. The drivers exchanged insurance information, and no report was requested.

A deputy checked on a vehicle near mile marker 56 on southbound Interstate 135 at 12:32 a.m. Thursday. The driver advised help was en route. The deputy escorted the driver to the 600 block of W. Kansas in McPherson.

Firefighters from McPherson and Moundridge, along with a sheriff's deputy, responded at 1:56 p.m. Thursday to a possible vehicle fire near mile marker 56 on northbound Interstate 135. The vehicle’s owner said the radiator had blown, but there was no fire.

MOUNDRIDGE - Firefighters, EMS personnel and an officer responded to a fire alarm in the 200 block of S. Avenue B at 9:03 p.m. Thursday. They were disregarded prior to arrival.
