At 8:39 a.m. Friday, an officer responded to check the welfare in the 500 block of S. Chestnut. The reporting party called back and advised contact had been made with the subject. The officer was disregarded prior to arrival.
An officer responded at 6:38 p.m. Friday to a report of two vehicles racing on Kansas, west from Maxwell. The officers contacted the subjects in the 400 block of E. Kansas. They said they had stopped next to each other to talk and were not racing.
Officers responded to a fight in progress in the 400 block of N. Elm at 2:15 a.m. Saturday. They arrested a McPherson male and a McPherson female, each on a charge of domestic battery. The subjects were released on $296 bond each.
A deputy took a report at 3:45 p.m. Friday of the burglary and theft of several guns valued at more than $1,000 from the 900 block of Plum.
At 7:25 p.m. Friday, a deputy checked on a hitchhiker near mile marker 46 on northbound Interstate 135. The deputy transported the subject to Exit 60 on the interstate.
Firefighters, EMS personnel and officers responded at 7:35 a.m. Friday to an automatic fire alarm in the 100 block of East Lakeside Drive. It was determined to be burnt food.
MARQUETTE - An officer contacted a male juvenile and a female juvenile at 12:22 a.m. Friday in the downtown area. Everything was OK.
LINDSBORG - EMS personnel and firefighters responded at 4:59 p.m. Saturday to a medical emergency in the 100 block of W. Lincoln. The units were disregarded as the patient was transported via private vehicle with a police escort to Lindsborg Community Hospital.
MARQUETTE - At 6:38 p.m. Saturday, Marquette firefighters, along with EMS personnel from McPherson and Marquette, responded to Kanopolis Lake for a medical emergency. A patient was transported to Salina Regional Health Center.
