Event participants will finish inside Arrowhead Stadium at the 50-yard-line

The Kansas City Chiefs will host the inaugural Chiefs 5K at Arrowhead Stadium at 9 a.m. on May 18, allowing participants to finish the race on the 50-yard line, running through the tunnel to the field like Chiefs players do on game day.

Registration for the Chiefs 5K is now open and runs through race day. Early bird registration is $35 and ends April 21. Beginning April 22 registration costs $40.

Registration on the day before the race and on event day is $45. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit The United Way of Greater Kansas City.

Participants can register by visiting www.Chiefs5K.com and clicking on the registration button or in person on packet pick-up day (May 17) or on race day, if space allows.

All participants for the Chiefs 5K will receive a one-of-a-kind Chiefs 5K finisher’s medal and a commemorative t-shirt.

Participants will be able to partake in a post-race celebration that will include music, KC Wolf and other special Chiefs guests.

Racers will also have the opportunity to experience behind-the-scenes tours of Arrowhead Stadium after the run.

Participants will pick up race packets inside the North Club on the Scout Investments Club Level at Arrowhead Stadium from noon until 7 p.m. on May 17.

Spectators are encouraged to attend the event and watch runners finish from the stands. Parking for participants and spectators is free.

If you have nothing to do, you should do this because I'm doing it. For a small fee we can run together, unless I like you, then no-charge.
