The public is invited to attend the Smoky Hill Composite Squadron’s Second annual FAA Safety Seminar.
The Wichita FAA Safety Team will present their program, “When the World Revolves Around You.”  This training explores spins and the events leading up to them.
Following the program, the FAA will present their “Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award” to a popular area pilot. This award recognizes pilots who have demonstrated professionalism, skill and aviation expertise by maintaining safe aviation operations for 50 or more years.
The Salina Airport Authority and the Civil Air Patrol will have equipment on display, and refreshments will be provided by AvFlight SLN.  Other event supporters include Shilling Aviation Services and the Salina Law Enforcement Explorer Scouts.
As an added bonus, there will be door prizes and a discounted price on aviation fuel for those that fly in from other airports.
The event will be Tuesday at 3024 Arnold Ave., in the Salina Airport industrial area.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the program will start promptly at 7 p.m.
