For those unable to attend the upcoming Easter weekend performances during this year’s Messiah Festival of the Arts, regional radio stations will broadcast live the Good Friday’s “Passion According to St. Matthew” and Easter Sunday’s “Messiah” performances.

For those unable to attend the upcoming Easter weekend performances during this year’s Messiah Festival of the Arts, regional radio stations will broadcast live the Good Friday’s “Passion According to St. Matthew” and Easter Sunday’s “Messiah” performances.
The Bethany Oratorio Society will perform its historic and rich performances of J.S. Bach’s “Passion According to St. Matthew” at 7:30 p.m. Good Friday, April 3, and G. F. Handel’s “Messiah” at 3 p.m. on Easter Sunday, April 5. The Bethany Oratorio Society has been performing Handel’s “Messiah” since 1882, and Bach’s “Passion…” since 1929. During Holy Week each year in Lindsborg, the more than 300 member community chorus and orchestra are joined by five professional operatic guest soloists to perform these oratorios.  
Broadcasts of both programs will begin 15 minutes prior to performance and can be heard at:

n McPherson – KBBE 96.7 FM (“Messiah” performance only).
