The ArtGarden at the Courtyard Gallery in Lindsborg will be hosting several classes in the upcoming week. These include:

A 16” x 20” acrylic painting class featuring an Owl in folk art style.  In this step-by-step class, participants will complete this subject cast in their choice of a winter or summer background.  It will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. March 31 and is a BYOB. This class is for adults and is $30. Registration is required. Class size is limited. "Backyard Alarm" acrylic painting class on from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 4. The class will give step-by-step instructions on a 16" x 20" canvas to create a picture of a colorful rooster. The class is for adults and is a BYOB. The cost is $30 and includes all materials. Registration is required. Class size is limited. "Beautiful Beginnings" from 1 to 3 p.m. April 6.  The butterfly is an acrylic painting done on a 12” x 12” canvas. The step-by-step class is a BYOB.  The cost is $25 and includes all materials. Class size is limited.   The Courtyard Gallery will have Daisy Friesen demonstrating all aspects of her art of clay from beginning to end from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 28. The demonstration will include not only hand building with clay, but also underglazes and design techniques she uses to decorate her pieces.
Daisy Friesen is a Kansas pottery artist. She is a graduate of Bethany College, Lindsborg, in Art Administration.
"Growing up I was taught to appreciate the beauty of nature,” she said. “I am always noticing interesting shaped leaves while out walking with my kids. Much of my work features plant or animal designs incised on them.”
Her work is also on display in the Courtyard Gallery, 125 NO. Main St., Lindsborg.  Her work can be seen on The ArtGarden’s website.
